Quebec City is probably the coolest city I have ever been to. The old city is about 400 years old and is completely surrounded by ramparts that are still in tact. The city sits at a strategic high point along the St. Lawrence river and served as the most important military post for both the French and the the British. Despite several major battles during the French and Indian War, the old city was basically completely unharmed, so most of the original architecture is still in tact.
