Gran and Papa visit (part 2)

We tool Maggie for a canoe adventure on Sugar Creek.

She even helped out a bit.

Meanwhile, Bea got the royal treatment back in the camper kitchen sink.

.

We found some really cool pebbles in Sugar Creek in Shades State Park.

We also found some sweet fossils in the river of what look to be a variety of clams, worms, and other marine critters (likely from the Mississippian period roughly 300 million years ago).

Finally, here are a few videos of me and Papa with Bea.

Gran and Papa visit (part 1)

After getting reacquainted, the kids were all smiles.

We took a nice little camping trip to Turkey Run, Indiana - where the marshmallows are large...

..and apparently delicious.

One nice thing about camping with relatives is that you don't have to take all the pictures yourself.

The campsite itself was very pretty, as was the surrounding countryside.  Though still early spring, there was plenty of green in the woods.

The very scenic Sugar Creek - framed by ancient sandstone cliffs - runs through the area.

Stay tuned for part 2.
