Smooth Sailing

Maggie and Bea got little gliders from Honey.  Didn't take them long to get a feel for it.

On our way home for X-mas

Lucie was very excited in the airport waiting for our plane.

She enjoyed the first flight from Montreal to Newark, but she was really cranky for the second flight.

The older kids just watched movies on their i-pads.

Once at Gran and Papa's, they raided the lemon tree.

And made us a special Christmas concoction (involving rice, noodles, cinnamon sticks, lentils, oatmeal, lime juice, water and many other tasty ingredients).

Alice and Audrey got to meet their new cousin for the first time.

And Lucie made a new friend.

As I write, Gran is teaching Audrey and Maggie how to make cinnamon rolls.  I (being the master cinnamon roll taster/connoisseur) am going to give their batch a taste test later today, with Gran's batch as the control group.

Plenty more pictures to come (we haven't even reached Christmas, yet).

Santa came early to Montreal

We struck a bargain, seeing as how we would be out of the country.

Santa obliged, and the girls didn't complain.

Bea and Maggie still change clothes at least 3 times a day...

Lots of laundry!
And by the looks of it Lucie is following in their footsteps. Looking for something good to wear here.

I'm surprised we still have flowers

As is turns out, we have had a very warm fall.  When I say warm, I mean highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s with plenty of sun.  Accordingly, there are still quite a few trees with leaves and even some flowers.

Getting these two to stand still long enough to take a picture without a blur is a real challenge. Here are the only two pictures in a group of about 20 that were not blurry.

Halloween is just around the corner, we've been appropriately gearing up.

Most of the time, Lucie has this look on her face while she is watching her sisters.

Finally, Maggie got a new job.

I'm surprised they found a robe to fit her.

Recent Pics

At the Symphony with the girls.

They tried to stay interested, but I think they need a little more activity at this age.  Maybe we'll try the ballet next time.

The weather has been nice this fall (much drier and sunnier than last year).  I hear from the locals that this year is more like normal.  On one nice Sunday, we headed to the Science Museum, stopping to plunder the flowers at Starbucks on the way.

Lucie slept most of the time, but did wake up long enough to take her sisters on a little joy ride.

Finally, here's a cute picture of BB.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Christmas.  We'll be on the gulf coast for a full three weeks (Christmas in Louisiana, New Year's in Corpus), so hopefully we'll have time to catch up with everyone.

Lucie's standing skills have really improved over the last two weeks.  In this video, she flawlessly executes multiple twist and grab movements without falling.  At 7 months, I think she's on track to walk sooner than Bea did (10.5 months).

Lucie also really enjoys the swings at the park, now.

Finally, here's a nice video of Lucie's free-loading older sister, Beatrice, who didn't want to put forth the effort to propel her own scooter.

A few pictures

Lucie is eating solid food three times a day now.  She is not very picky, other than with sour stuff (which she pretty much won't touch).  One of Lucie's best friends is our neighbor Aike (pronounced eye-key).  One of Aike's favorite past-times is feeding Lucie, so it's a win-win situation.

Gabby's friend from Texas also came to visit us with her 2 year old daughter, Penelope.

We took a day trip to Mt. Tremblant (both the city and the national park).  After a good lunch in the scenic Mt. Tremblant downtown, we headed to some of our favorite spots in the park.  We'll have more pictures to post in the future, but for now, here's one with everyone behaving normally.

One last quick picture of Bea with her huge Canadian headband.

Lucie's new trick

She may walk before she crawls.

Eating and getting pranked by Maggie on the McGill campus.

Play time on Saturday morning with the sisters.
