AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

So today is a slow day at work. (Well, not really but I don't feel like doing anything) So I decided to change layout on my the blog and somehow the new layout does not like my 101 list that I had and it got deleted.  Hopefully I have it saved on my computer at home, but I doubt it. I worked really hard on that list. If I do not have it saved then I will rewrite another one. -Gabby

ps maybe I should be working rather than updating my blog.

#64 Run five miles

Woo Hoo!!! It couldn't have come at a better time because I need to be able to run 6.2 miles at the end of August for the Nike Human 10K race. Of course, I am still really slow. I average about 10 min per mile. I can go 9 min/mile if I only run 4 miles or less. My training has slacked off quite a bit in the last couple of weeks, but that is going to change this week. -Gabby

#59 Thank you cards

That's right. Chris and I finished writing thank you cards to everyone who was kind and gave us a gift during the wedding process (besides our parents...still working on that). The only problem was we did not do it within the deadline I set, but it got done and that's all that matters. Other than that nothing new going on.

My lab is going to move in a couple of weeks to a new building so I will not be able to do lab work for a while. Just another reason why my degree is taking a long fracking time. -Gabby

Under the Banner of Heaven

I went to Houston this past weekend to watch Astros vs Red Soxs. Whenever I am visiting my in-laws I am left very often by myself inside since I am the only one who does not smoke (Sometime I go and sit with them), which gives me ample time to catch up with my reading. This weekend I finished Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer. I enjoyed the book and find myself flipping sides whether I am pro or con Mormons. Anyways now I am interested in the FLDS I am going to check out Shattered Dreams by Irene Spencer. I'll update you later whether I like it or not. -Gabby

#64 Running

Two weeks ago my friend (Michelle) and I decided to run in a 10K race. We only signed up for the race to help keep us motivated to work out. We all know how easy it is to say tomorrow I will start working out blah blah blah. Ever since then we got on a training program and I ran 5 miles this past Sunday.

I am in the process of trying to get Chris to run so I can have two running partners. My nagging is finally getting to him because I convinced him he needs 'real' running shoes. As of now he runs in his 10 pound sketchers and then he complains that his lower legs hurt.....uummm. Wonder why? -Gabby

#3 Make a new friend

This past saturday I went to a scrap booking get together (GTG). I met not only 1, but 3 new people. I am looking forward to more scrap booking in the future with these nice ladies. I didn't complete the pre-wedding scrap book, but I am pretty darn close. The next few books I will try and complete are my high school days, college days, and a wedding album with non-pro pics. -Gabby

#20 Created a budget

Two more weeks before our 1st month on a budget. Money has been tight, but I think we are going to make it and not spend over. So whoo hoo!!! -Gabby

#33 Texas Chili

So yesterday was so fun. Chris and I went to pace bend with some of our friends and spent all day swimming. At the end of our long day we all decided to go back to the Chili Parlor. I ordered a potato with white chili/pork and mild chili/beef.  It was yummy, but maybe a little overpriced. -Gabby

#8 I'm married

This past weekend I married Chris-e-poo. The wedding went on without any major problems. This was primarily due to my wonderful parents support. Then Chris-e-poo and I went on our mini-moon (Fredricksburg, Texas). I just got back and I am relaxing at the apt until I have to go back to work. Go to my myspace page for some wedding pics. -Gabby

Update on wedding planning

I have a little under a month to get everything completed. My mom and dad came this past weekend to help me out. We met with the wedding coordinator (Nycia from Events Inspired by Nycia), completed favors, bought groomsmen/flowergirl/ringbearer gifts, bought cake serving set/toasting flutes, and got drunk. What a long and fun weekend.

This weekend I am going to work on OOT bags, table numbers and complete bathroom baskets.

#71 Birthdays cards

April 19th was my nephews, Drago, birthday so I bought a funny monkey card and sent him twenty dollars. And since kids are always like why did he get something and not me :( blah blah. I decided to buy my niece, Olivia, a extremely belated birthday card and give her $20 as well. Her birthday was back in January.

Next up are Chris's nephew and nieces, but that's not until June, July and September (or something like that)

I am knocking these suckers out of the way. Next one on my list is getting married!!!

#17 and #28 sold frame on craigslist

I sold a pottery barn signature frame on craigslist this past week. I really didn't want to mail it out, but everybody who contacted me lived out of town. Oh well, this couple seemed really nice and offered to pay $25 extra including shipping. So I sold it to them at the original price b/c I didn't want karma to bite me in my ass. -Gabby

March and Bridals

March has been pretty busy for me. My plants are still alive since I bought them at Lowes. And I have been using cloth bags since me last cloth bag post. This month is going really fast.

I did have a lot of fun yesterday taking bridals with Dave and Bonnie. I promise to post pictures when I get them. Afterwards Chris and I went to Trudy's to celebrate Easter early :) Gotta love those mexican martinis....yummy

#61 Plants

I decided to go to Lowes and but some plants. I know its a couple of weeks early (it still might freeze), but I couldn't wait. I actually got some lilies. Hopefully they are easy to take of, but I will keep you updated. I am off to the movies. -Gabby

#7 Using cloth bags

Today I didn't feel like working much (like my other friends, Jessica and Michelle) so decided to walk to Wheatsville. I decided to buy tea, soy jerky (still kind of scared of eating it, but I am trying to syke myself out). Then I thought about my 101 list and thought this would be an excellent time to start it so I also bought a cloth bag. It is very pretty. I will buy other bags, but a little at a time. I feel so earthy today. Now I must get Chris involved. -Gabby

Completion of the List

Okay, after that last post I thought I was going to post my list the very next day...well, let me tell you making a list of 101 things to do is not as easy as it seems. Around 60 I was completely out of ideas. But I would like to thank other blogers (austin knotties/nesties) and the undergraduates in the lab for helping me complete my list. Without their help I would still be working on the list today. Everyone cross their fingers and hope for the best when it comes to completing my list.

As you can see I set it up in different categories. The easiest ones to come up with were the ones that involve spending money. I could probably come up with 101 ways I can spend money in one day. Anyways, keep reading my blog to see what gets accomplished and what doesn't.

Til next time -Gabby

101 in 1001

So last time I left feeling like I will never have anything to talk about on this blog. After researching and lurking on the austin nestie page I decided to start a 101 in 1001. What's that you ask? Well, I'll tell you, but you must be patient. I am going to complete 101 things in 1001 days (roughly 2.5 years). Now I m going to start making a list so bye bye. -Gabby

The start of something great begins here!

Hi everyone. I have no idea who is going to read this, but maybe it will become more useful when we move away and this is the only form of communication. I'll try to keep the blog updated so you can see how mundane our life is. Don't get me wrong...calling our life mundane does not mean I do not love it. So this is my first blog. I feel like it should be better and a lot longer with important details.

Okay, right now I am at work not working. It's 9:30 and I am ready to go home...just waiting for the bus. I'll think of something interesting to say next time. Bye
