Tulip Festival - Ottawa, ON, CA
We made it to the Tulip festival this year. I made this post before summer started, but I forgot to publish post....oops
One of the highlights was the girls fruit juice served in the actual fruit. The clear winner was the pineapple.

Day trip to Mt. Mansfield, VT
With Gabby and the kids out of town, I've had a chance to do a little exploring. This past weekend, I took a two hour drive to Underhill, VT to hike Mt. Mansfield - the tallest mountain in VT. Here are a few views from the top. It was a little hazy, so the pictures didn't come out too great.
Here you can see Lake Champlain in the distance.
The top of the mountain actually has an alpine climate. I did not know this, but it became obvious when I saw the lichen and little trees at the top. The rocks were also really cool. There were little veins of quartz everywhere and a lot of mica.
