I arrived home from my Arkansas on my birthday to find that Maggie had picked out a really cool present for me.
Nothing quite like Star Wars legos - especially when Chewbaca's crossbow is actually functional.
After my brief sojourn with the family in Champaign, I returned to the interview trail with Boston College and Colorado State. The morning of my Boston College interview, I had some free time to walk around campus and snap a few pictures.
I'm sure there was much more to see, but it was pretty cold and I didn't have a hat, so I didn't explore too much. Also, I have heard from reliable sources that BC is the most beautiful campus in Boston during the fall and spring.
Well, sorry for not making many posts recently, but I'm in the middle of my interview marathon. I just finished at Ole Miss and Indiana, and am currently in Fayetteville for an interview at Arkansas. All three of these schools are in really pretty areas with hills and woods (and plenty of edible wild life).
I have an offer from Alabama, but this was one of the weaker schools I visited and several of my other interviews (at Minnesota, Penn State, Indiana, and Ole Miss) went especially well, so I am hoping to have a few other options soon. I still have about 6 more interviews after Arkansas (all at really good places) and have reached the point where I am no longer scheduling interviews.
Regardless of the outcome, it is good to have an offer in the bag as I now know that I will not have to pan-handle - or worse - accept an industry job next year.
Before it gets too out-dated, here is a video that I took in Corpus Christi of Bea and Maggie playing on the mall play ground.
I will be sure to update the status of my job search and I'll try to upload picture more often.
The long-anticipated meeting of Maggie and Aubrey finally occurred this year. As expected, they got along really well and had a great time together. Just take a look at this video of the two jumping in synchrony in the guest bedroom.
Gran and Papa have lost their edge. After only 3-4 days of constant badgering from Maggie, they relented and allowed the girls to open an early Christmas present.
Finally, after arriving in Corpus Christi, we found an old tricycle for Bea. I think she has been practicing at school, because I don't remember her being this good last summer.
