The joys of Maggie's life

1. arts and crafts: She has always enjoyed the art of jewelery making. If you take a closer look and the full bucket of beads I would like to point out that it was only filled to about 33% capacity at first. All the other beads came from school. Maggie doesn't realize this, but when I clean up and find a necklace (which is quite often) I disassemble it and recycle the beads. Hence, the full bucket. Will she ever catch on?????



2. Stuffed animals and dolls: I know some parents like to keep things minimal, but this has been the #1 thing she always plays with. She always has a 'friend, princess or baby' with her. There are usually a favorite for a week or two, but she does a really good job or rotating through all her crap. Needless to say, when we go to Barnes and Nobles for coffee she tends to gravitate towards this section after her snack. Its like her little heaven of bliss.

How to I organize these toys at home. I don't. There are two or three piles that I throw them into when I clean the house. So I decided to make something like this....


Now, Chris decided to help (which I needed), but he had other ideas in mind. Something like this.

It would serve the same purpose, but geez that second is just not my style. I need a helper not another designer. So the project it waiting for a special person (cough, Dad, cough) to come finish it.

Sophie's birthday party

A couple of weekends ago Maggie attended a pool birthday party for a classmate. It was a hit! Of course, she only hung out with Alara and Ella.

First dentist visit

Last week Maggie went to her first dentist appointment. She has 20 baby teeth and no cavities yet. She actually did a lot better than I was anticipating. She really enjoyed the pink star glasses and the first thing that was strange to her was the seat can actually recline. She didn't quite want to lay on her back and she kept her eye on the dental hygienist. She was a pro at following directions and she loved the treats she got at the end (toothbrush and a stick hand toy). We are good until mid-November.

Little Red Peacoat

This might be the last time we get to wear our jackets this year, so Maggie's going out with style.  Here's Maggie hiding by the handicap elevator at her school (and looking awfully similar to James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause - minus the cigarette, of course).

Our generation had Speak & Spells (I'm sure Papa-T and T-mom remember those things).  Maggie gets an iPad with a touch screen and several billion times the computing power and memory of our archaic electronic devices (and it's only a fraction of the size).

Sage advice from a 3-year old

She's lost her mind!

In the last month or so Maggie has gotten more energy or I am losing some of mine. So I asked Chris and he said she definitely is getting more cray cray. This series of photos sums it up...

Baby #2-3rd trimester

Went to the drs office last week and everything is still looking great. Baby is moving around a lot and is now the size of a rutabaga. Week 19 week 26 In a couple of weeks, I will post some pictures of our last ultrasound on May 17th. Three more months and baby #2 should be here :)
