Ten on Tuesday

1. It's official......I will only respond when I am addressed with Dr. before my name :)

2. Maggie ate sweet potatoes for the 1st time on Sunday and she had no objections. Just as a reminder...she started with rice cereal then oatmeal cereal and finally sweet potatoes. So far she loves everything we give her. She eats 2-3 ounces of solids a day.

3. The next person who asks me if Maggie just finished crying or tells me she has an eye infection I am going to wipe her eye boogers all over them....for friggin' sake she has clogged ducts. Maybe I should carry pamphlets with me so I can hand them out to retards.

4. I am trying to have Maggie completely off bottles by her 1st birthday....if not no biggie. So now until 7 months I am just letting her get use to a sippy cup with water for 10 minutes a day. Here she is trying to drink from it. Unless I hold it up for her she just holds it and chews on the nipple. Looks like I am probably going to have to buy a new one by the time she actually is going to sip from it.

5. Our friends hosted a poker night. Well, I kind of ran out of money in the middle of the game so I placed the only other object with value and I lost :(

Looks like Steve just won that hand ;-P

6. Chris was able to win Maggie back. Thank goodness for his pa-pa-pa-pa-poker face.

7. One more full week of work and then Thanksgiving!!! I love Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! The plan so far:
(1) Going to Gran and Papas house on Wednesday night
(2) Going to Honey and Grandpa Mo's house on Saturday morning
(3) Attending Mercedes' baby shower Saturday afternoon while Chris watches LSU game
(4) Going back to Austin

8. My christmas present this year is family pics. I just finished scheduling them for December 6th. I can't wait.

9. I have until Jan 15th to find a job. If not I will be UNEMPLOYED.

10. Hunting season. I have a couple of weekends alone with Maggie b/c Chris is going to go and try and shoot some deer so we can survive since we need to save money on meats...especially if I don't get a job (see #9). Seriously though...I think if he enjoys hunting I should enjoy using the credit card ;-P

Ten on Tuesday

1. Four more days until Friday the 13th otherwise known as the day I defend my dissertation. This is me entering panic mode #%%&*(*))I)&*&%%@$#~#@$#^

2. Last night I made Maggie some yummy yummy baby food. Her first vegetable will be sweet potatoes. Mini-review: super easy and fast to make. They are in the process of freezing at this moment. I will update you later if Maggie likes them or not.

3. The teething in on. Maggie sticks anything in her mouth and drools like a kid in a candy store. So far her sleeping pattern is the same so she can't be in too much pain. Also, she chews on EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. Ouch.

4. Saturday morning I went out shopping and Maggie stayed home with Dad. I picked these adorable boots up for her. Because everyone knows if you live in Texas you need to be prepared for the cold miserable winters...hehe

5. #4 brings to me #5....look at those thighs. Seriously, I just want to squeeze them

6. Where did the time go. I can't believe Maggie turned 5 months this past Saturday.
7. Since Maggie can't use all 10 comments we will throw one in for Chris. He was a little down Saturday when LSU lost. Later that night we lost in cranium to our friends Jack and Roxanne. He just can't catch a break lately.

8. Chris is trying to feed Maggie to Scott's dog, Boudreaux. Poor Maggie, she looked really scared.

9. Since Maggie is getting older, I need to find a way to store all the clothes she doesn't fit into anymore. Plastic bin or space saver bag to eliminate bugs. So many choices...

10. Halloween pics...did y'all think I would forget. It was a little too warm for Maggie to dress up in her poodle outfit and by the time it got cold she was asleep. My mom and Dad had a little get-together at their house in Corpus Christi.

Something new

In an effort to not just post pictures only. I am going to try and post according to the day.

Maggie with Gran.
Maggie hanging out with her papa. She has the same look at above :)
Brian and Maggie enjoying a good laugh.
And the trip completely knocked Maggie out. The End.

Overall, her 1st trip out-of-state when great.

Maggie's 1st playground outing

After the Saturday LSU game, we went to visit Joe and his kids on Sunday. We walked around the block to the park.

Maggie swinging

According to Chris, Alice was holding Maggie similar to this except Maggie was facing Alice. And then Maggie gave Alice a nice present of a little spit :)

Jack, Alice, and Audrey 1st met Maggie when she was born. Audrey still remembers that everybody got to hold Maggie except her so she needed to hold Maggie constantly when we over there....so cute.

Maggie's 1st out-of-state trip

Maggie left Texas for the 1st time in her life in order to attend her first LSU football game. She enjoyed the car ride for the majority of the time. She did her two favorite pastimes, eat, sleep and play.

Then we took a break from driving to visit and eat with Papa T and T Mom. Maggie and I also met Aunt Faye for the 1st time.

\

We arrived to BR late Friday and woke up on Saturday bright and early so we can enjoy every minute tailgating. Chris and Maggie are waiting for me to get ready at our hotel Saturday morning.

We arrived the Scott's tent. Maggie slept for the 1st two hours. Then se ended up seeing Nick and Pat.

Of course, Maggie would not shut up until we took her to see Mike the tiger, but by the time we got there she was asleep. Mike the tiger might of well have been fake b/c he didn't move at all. You could barely see Mike in his little cage.

After visiting with Mike we walked back to the tent to rest and eat.

Maggie and I originally were going to Honey and Big Daddy's house to watch the game, but then Scott found us some tickets so we went to the game instead. Here is my favorite picture of the day.
