Chegall Exhibit with Maggie

One of the best things about living in Montreal is the accessibility of all the fine arts.  This weekend, Maggie and I wen to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to check out the Marc Chegall Exhibit.  Maggie really enjoyed it, especially all the misshapen cubism nudes.

Many of the pieces featured various people playing instruments.

Here's a self-portrait with seven fingers.

There was also a huge tapestry.

And of course, the "Mauve Nude."

He also made a lot of costumes for operas and ballets.

As well as satined glass (this one is called "The Angel and The Face")

The museum also has some Picassos on permanent exhibit.

Here's Maggie's impersonation of one.

Maggie's favorite was this table and chair sculpture.

There is still plenty to explore in the city.  The weather is starting to get warmer.  We got about two feet of snow last week, but it has already almost all melted.  We may not even get below freezing over the next couple of weeks and the temps will be getting up into the 50s.  Spring is nigh in the Great Northern Wilderness.
