Baton Rogue pictures

Here are a few pictures from our recent trip to Baton Rouge and Lafayette. It was nice to see all the family members that we don't get to see too much, even if was for a solemn occasion. We held a beautiful funeral service for Honey at St. Aloysius in Baton Rouge and all of her family and many long time friends were there. All in all, I think we sent her off in style.

Mom's brother Vince was kind enough to hold several feasts at his house during the week. Scott volunteered to do what he does best - cook meat.  The rest of us relaxed and caught up.

We also spent a lot of time at Scott's house playing ping pong, drinking beer, and listening to rock and roll music.
At some point, Moses even descended from the burning bush on Mt. Sinai to chastise our wayward behavior.
We also had time to run over to Lafayette to visit T-mom and Papa-T. Thankfully, Maggie was in a social mood and she entertained her great grand parents for a couple of hours. Here she is serving Papa-T a make believe banquet, though I don't think Papa-T was too sure about that entree.
Papa-T also amazed her with the "worm in the apple" trick.
Aside from all the horseplay, we had a great visit.
