Videos Galore!!!

Hey all. The weather in Illinois is really nice this time of year. Over the past week, it has been getting into the low 40s at night, but warming up to mid 70s during the day. The trees are starting to change colors and being outside has been really pleasant. I have been picking Maggie up early from day care every day and we have been going to parks all over town. On one day, mom came along and we took some good footage of Maggie having fun in the sun.

As can be seen in the first video, Maggie is a huge fan of electronic devices. This includes cellular phones, remote controls, and digital cameras.

I wanted to get some good footage of Maggie running, because she reminds me of a marionette. Pay close attention to the arm movements and you will see what I'm talking about.

A caged beast. Here is Maggie making her new favorite sound.

Chow Time. Here's Maggie eating one of her all time favorites - green beans. As can be seen, she eats with little regard to personal hygiene. If you listen carefully, you can hear her favorite TV show (Yo Gaba Gaba!) in the background. They are singing a song about giving hugs and Maggie is trying to imitate them.

One of Maggie's favorite toys is a little house that has all sorts of cool things to play with including a mail box, a door bell, and a light switch. In this clip, Maggie exploits one of the cooler features of the house to demonstrate her geometric prowess.

You can now hand her shapes at random and she puts them in the right place every time.

We are trying to get Maggie to say more words. She definitely has a great handle on MaMa, DaDa, and dog (which she often refers to simply as "woof woof"). She also says ball, bubble, zebra, Muno (her favorite character from Yo Gaba Gaba), and the "ck" sound of block. The clip below shows another one of her favorite words, and also suggests that Maggie will one day be a dedicated mother.

Where did they go? This is a little game that Maggie likes to play with me. At some point she started imitating me and this is what it eventually evolved into.

I hope you enjoyed the videos. We'll bombard you with more pictures (and perhaps more humor) at a later date.
